Terms of use

Last updated: July 2026

Still Here is a free platform provided by Still Here Youths (SHY). By using it you agree to these community rules. They're written to keep every young person here safe.

1. Who can use Still Here

Still Here is designed for people aged 14 and over. If you're under 14, please use it with a parent or guardian. There is no cost to use the platform for young people — ever.

2. Be kind. Be real.

  • No bullying, harassment, threats, doxxing, or hate speech.
  • No sexually explicit content, nudity, or grooming behaviour. Zero tolerance.
  • No promotion of self-harm, drug use, weapons, or illegal activity.
  • No spam, scams, chain messages, or crypto/get-rich-quick promotions.
  • Respect every culture, faith, and background. Australia is many peoples — treat it that way.

3. Ember AI is not a therapist

Ember is a supportive AI companion, not a mental health professional. It cannot diagnose, prescribe, or replace real care. If you're in crisis, please contact Kids Helpline, Lifeline, 13YARN, or triple zero (000). Ember is trained to point you to these anytime it detects distress.

4. Moderation

Our team reviews reports and may remove content, warn users, or ban accounts that break these rules. Serious safety concerns will be escalated to authorities as required by Australian law.

5. Your content

You own what you post. You give Still Here permission to display it inside the app to other users. We won't sell it, license it, or use it in advertising.

6. Bookings and donations

Bookings for Sahr Ellie and the SHY team are free for schools, churches, sporting clubs, and community groups across Australia. Donations to SHY are voluntary and support free program delivery.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we'll notify signed-in users through the app.
