Accessibility Statement
Every young person deserves to use Still Here — whatever their ability, device or bandwidth.
What we commit to
Every interactive element is reachable and usable with a keyboard alone.
Buttons, links, images and form fields have clear text labels and alt text.
We target WCAG 2.2 AA contrast on text, buttons and icons. Colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
Everything is built to work on a phone first. Tap targets are at least 44×44 CSS pixels for primary actions.
We respect prefers-reduced-motion and avoid gratuitous animation on sensitive UI.
We write for young people — short sentences, everyday words, and clear headings.
Known gaps we're working on
- • Some third-party embeds (e.g. video players) may have their own accessibility gaps outside our control.
- • AI-generated responses from Ember may occasionally include long paragraphs — we're improving structure over time.

If any part of Still Here isn't accessible to you, please email accessibility@stillhereyouths.org. Tell us:
- What you were trying to do
- The page or feature (a link helps)
- The device, browser and assistive tech you were using (if you're comfortable sharing)
We acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to fix or provide an alternative within 14 days.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Australian Human Rights Commission.
