Still Here Youths operates on a not-for-profit basis. All programs — Academy, Ember AI, mentoring, community events — are free for young people. As we grow, we will publish our registration details and annual reports on this page.

Sahr Ellie — Founder & Director. Trained Youth Worker; current Criminology & Law student; speaker and mentor to young Australians across schools, churches, sporting clubs and community groups.

A wider board of advisors is being formed with backgrounds in youth work, education, child safety, law, and mental health. Board members will be published once appointed.

• Alignment with the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
• Working with Children Check (or state equivalent, e.g. Queensland Blue Card) expected for anyone engaging directly with young people on behalf of SHY.
• Trained response to disclosures and mandatory-reporting-style escalation to authorities where required by Australian law.
• Age-appropriate design: minors do not have public profiles; direct messaging from adults to minors outside of moderated staff support is not permitted.

3. We investigate, take action, and inform you of the outcome within a reasonable timeframe.
4. If you are not satisfied, you can escalate externally — for example to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) for privacy concerns, or the eSafety Commissioner for online-safety concerns.

Still Here Youths is currently funded through founder investment, community donations and paid speaking / workshop bookings from schools, churches and clubs (which remain free for young people). We do not accept sponsorship that would compromise our independence, safeguarding standards, or child-safe practices.

Our first annual impact report will be published on this page once our first full operating year is complete. It will include reach (young people supported), programs delivered, safeguarding statistics, and a plain-English financial summary.

We measure impact along four axes:

• Reach — young people onboarded, lessons completed, communities visited.
• Engagement — active learners, streaks, community participation.
• Wellbeing — self-reported growth via optional check-ins.
• Safety — reports received, response times, referrals to qualified services.
