Still Here belongs to every young person who signs in. These are the rules that keep it a safe, kind, empowering place — for everyone.
The vibe we protect
Still Here is a space where young Australians can be real, ask for help, build skills, and lift each other up. If your post or DM would make a new person here feel unsafe, unwelcome, or ashamed — it doesn't belong.
- • Be kind. Assume the best of the person on the other end.
- • Celebrate wins — yours and other people's.
- • Ask for help when you need it. This is the right place.
- • Respect every culture, faith, background, gender and ability.
- • Report anything that feels unsafe — 24/7.
- • Give feedback that helps someone grow, not shrinks them.
- • No bullying, harassment, threats or doxxing.
- • No sexually explicit content, nudity or grooming behaviour — zero tolerance.
- • No promotion of self-harm, suicide, drugs, weapons or illegal activity.
- • No hate speech, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism or religious hate.
- • No spam, scams, chain messages, or crypto / get-rich-quick pitches.
- • No sharing other people's private information without consent.
- • No pretending to be someone you're not, especially adults posing as young people.
If something goes wrong
Use the in-app report button on any post or message, or email safety@stillhereyouths.org. A human on our team reads reports within 48 hours. In emergencies, call 000 or Kids Helpline 1800 55 1800.
Consequences
Depending on the breach and history, moderators may take one or more of these actions:
A private message from a moderator explaining what happened and how to fix it.
The post, comment or message is taken down.
You lose access to community features (feed, DMs, events) for a set period.
Your account is closed. Applies to serious or repeated breaches.
Safety-critical matters may be reported to police, eSafety Commissioner, or state child protection authorities as required by Australian law.
Appeals
If you believe a moderation decision was unfair, email appeals@stillhereyouths.org within 30 days. See our Complaints & Feedback process for what happens next.
